...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO
6 PM PST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 8
inches expected. Snow will be accompanied by northeast winds 15
to 30 mph.

* WHERE...Lowlands of western Whatcom County, including Point
Roberts, Lummi Island, Bellingham, and Sumas.

* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 6 PM PST Tuesday. Heaviest
accumulations will occur tonight through Tuesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult to
impossible.

A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather
conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you
must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
